Hand and Wrist

The hand and wrist are involved in almost all of our daily activities, which makes them particularly prone to injuries and different pathologies.. The most frequent causes of injury are trauma, repetitive or excessive use, and degenerative processes.

An accurate diagnosis is essential to achieve a good treatment, for which we use an exhaustive physical examination, imaging tests or neurophysiology tests. Once the pathology has been diagnosed, we must carry out an individualised treatment for each patient, always indicating the least invasive techniques, such as percutaneous or arthroscopic techniques, whenever possible, or carrying out microsurgical and joint replacement techniques, such as thumb and wrist prostheses, in which we are pioneers at a national level.

What diseases do we treat?

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome.
  • Dequervain tendonitis
  • Osteoarthritis of the thumb (Rhizarthrosis)
  • Nerve injuries (Radial, ulnar and median nerve)
  • Epicondylitis
  • Elbow, wrist and hand arthrosis
  • Deformities
  • Elbow instability
  • Hand and wrist instability (fibrocartilage, scapholunate ligament, etc.)
  • Dupuytren's disease
  • Tendon injuries

What techniques do we use?

  • Nerve and tendon releases
  • Wrist and hand arthroscopy
  • Microsurgery
  • Biological and mechanical arthroplasties (wrist, MCF, IF, )
  • Radiocarpal and carpal arthrodesis
  • Correction osteotomies
  • Tendon and nerve transfers
